Until further notice, we will only have limited staff and doctor coverage for all essential needs and eye health emergencies due to safety precautions during the COVID-19 outbreak. Call our office before driving here and leave a message; we will try to return your call as soon as possible.
For those who have previously scheduled appointments, we will contact you the week prior to inform you of our status, either by text or phone call. As the news and guidelines for COVID-19 prevention changes daily, so may our hours of availability and protocol, so please always call ahead. We will try to keep this website updated as well as our Facebook page, but call the office for the latest information.
If you have an eye health emergency or any urgent issue (e.g. significant eye infection, sudden eye pain, eye injuries, flashing lights and/or sudden onslaught of floaters) please call us at 920.849.4291. If no one is in, you will be given an emergency contact number to reach Dr Burkhardt for a telephone consult. If the doctor determines that he cannot resolve an urgent concern without seeing you in person, we will try our best to schedule an appointment as soon a s possible.
If you or your child are in need of a medication refill, out of contacts or have broken or lost your glasses, please call our office at 920.849.4291. We can always call in a prescription, order a temporary supply of contact lenses or fabricate and ship a replacement set of eyeglasses if at all possible.
If you are at high-risk, immunocompromised, pregnant, an older adult, have chronic medical issues including diabetes, lung or heart disease, or are caring for someone at risk, please – stay home (if this is not an eye health emergency). If you are sick with any symptoms of a cold or flu, please – stay home or call your primary care office.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time as we all work together to keep our community healthy and safe. Please follow the guidelines that are being recommended by the authorities to keep everyone safe; if not for yourself, do it for your loved ones.
